Built around real life

Homes are
for people.

A home is your launch pad into the world—and your refuge when the world feels a little too big. We make building feel clear, personal and worth being excited about by keeping you away while we build.

Our approach Think of it like Amazon delivery—but for houses.

01 / THE TURNKEY DIFFERENCE

Make the big choices. Then let us build.

After 25 years in the industry, we have learned that constant homeowner involvement during active construction usually interrupts the work, adds cost and creates unnecessary stress.

02 / WHAT WE DO

One company.
Three ways forward.

Some clients need a complete new home. Others need more space, a better property or a solution for a site that does not fit the easy template. We organize the right path around the actual job.

01

New homes + developments

Select the lot, plan and finish direction. Our turnkey retail model keeps the choices useful and the build coordinated.

  • Curated home plans and exterior palettes
  • Interior finish and material selections
  • Neighborhood-scale design coordination
  • Construction through final occupancy

02

Additions + property improvements

We bring the planning, trades and decisions together for additions, renovations and whole-property improvements.

  • Vertical and footprint additions
  • Decks, stairs and exterior work
  • Interior, mechanical and finish coordination
  • Permits, inspections and closeout

03

Difficult sites + structural work

When the property is the hard part, we coordinate the site, engineering, equipment and specialty work as one project.

  • Preconstruction and feasibility planning
  • Retaining systems and deep supports
  • Earthwork, drainage and erosion control
  • Engineer, permit and specialty-trade coordination

03 / POWER UP FRONT

Your choices happen before the dust starts.

You may think you want to be involved in every daily construction decision. Trust us—you don’t. Our turnkey model gives you strong control before the build starts, then lets us handle the heavy lifting.

Strong upfront choicesSelect the lot, layout, exterior, interior finishes and upgrade direction before construction begins.
Streamlined constructionOnce the scope is approved, we coordinate the trades, materials, scheduling, inspections and jobsite decisions without pulling you into the dust.
Built-in savingsFewer mid-build changes and less fragmented coordination can save significant dollars compared with many conventional custom-building processes.
Full transparencyYou receive clear material specifications, ENERGY STAR ratings, included features and a written picture of what to expect from the finished TURNKEY property.

04 / CURRENT WORK

Real projects.
Different problems.

Our current work includes a vertical lakehouse addition in Muskegon and a coordinated Lake Michigan bluff-stabilization project. We are also shaping two proposed residential developments for the next stage of the company.

05 / BUILD NEW

Build new without starting from a blank page.

Our turnkey retail model gives you strong control over the lot, layout and finish direction before construction starts. Once those choices are approved, we coordinate the details, reduce mid-build changes and keep the path to a finished home clear.

06 / HOW WE ORGANIZE THE WORK

One point of contact.
The right team for the scope.

You should not have to manage six separate conversations to move one project forward. My Home Builder remains your primary point of coordination and assembles the builders, engineers, specialty contractors, trades and suppliers the work requires.

07 / THE PROCESS

A visible path from idea to keys.

The exact work changes by project. The order should not. Each stage creates the information needed for the next one.

01

People + property

We begin with the people, the address, the goal and the problems the property needs to solve.

02

Feasibility + scope

Site conditions, records, access, utilities, budget direction and required specialists are organized early.

03

Plans + selections

Layouts, materials, finish decisions, engineering and pricing are brought into one buildable scope.

04

Permits + construction

We coordinate applications, scheduling, trades, materials, inspections and written changes as the work moves.

05

Closeout + home

Final inspections, cleanup, the reasonable punch list and project records bring the work to a clean finish.

08 / A BEAUTIFUL WHOLE

Freedom for the homeowner. Calm from the street.

For new-home communities, we select compatible plans, exterior materials and colors that create a serene neighborhood aesthetic without making every home identical.

09 / COMMON QUESTIONS

What working with us looks like.

Email us when the property does not fit neatly into one of these answers. That is often where our coordination model is most useful.

Do you only build new homes?

No. We work on new homes and developments, additions and renovations, and difficult-site residential projects that require structural, earthwork or specialty coordination.

Can I choose my own materials and finishes?

Yes—during the selection phase. We preserve meaningful choice while narrowing options to materials that fit the plan, budget, availability and overall design direction. Once selections are approved, we lock the scope and take the daily construction coordination off your plate.

Do you handle drawings, permits and engineering?

We coordinate the preconstruction work needed for the project, which may include site information, plans, finish selections, framing coordination, engineering, permit applications and required testing.

Who performs the construction?

Depending on the scope, My Home Builder may perform authorized work directly or coordinate appropriately licensed and insured builders, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and specialty trades.

Where do you work?

We are based in Muskegon and focus on Muskegon County and surrounding West Michigan communities.

What is the first step?

Send the project address, a brief description of what you want to accomplish and any drawings or photos you already have. We will identify the next useful conversation or site step.

10 / START A PROJECT

Bring us the property.
Tell us what it needs to become.

New home, addition, renovation or a site problem that needs a coordinated solution—we will start with the facts and make the next step clear.
